AI Marketing Maturity Assessment
AI Marketing Maturity Assessment
The AI Marketing Maturity Assessment is a self-assessment that estimates how consistently an organization aligns strategy, workflows, knowledge, technology, governance, people, and measurement when using AI in marketing. Your result reflects your own responses to 28 questions -a it is not an independently verified organizational diagnosis, and it works best as a starting point for a conversation, not a final answer.
Assessment Summary
- Purpose: Estimate your organization’s current AI marketing maturity across seven dimensions and identify a useful next step.
- Who it’s for: Marketing leaders, operations leaders, and executives who want a structured starting point before committing to a full evidence-based assessment.
- Time to complete: Estimate to be confirmed once the tool has been tested with real users — this page will state a tested completion time rather than a guess once that testing is complete.
- What you’ll get: An estimated maturity stage, a profile across all seven dimensions, an evidence-confidence note, your strongest capabilities and priority gaps, the primary risk created by any imbalance between dimensions, and a recommended next step.
- What it is not: A verified organizational diagnosis, a benchmark against other named companies, or a substitute for the evidence-based review performed during an Executive AI Marketing Assessment.
Before You Begin
- Who should complete it: Anyone with visibility into how your organization currently uses AI in marketing — typically a marketing leader, operations lead, or someone coordinating AI-related initiatives.
- What evidence is useful: Having a rough sense of your current workflows, tools, governance practices, and past measurement efforts will help you answer more accurately than guessing. Each question includes an optional space to note the evidence behind your answer, which is useful for your own records even though it isn’t scored.
- One respondent or several: A single respondent’s view reflects one perspective on the organization. Where different leaders (for example, marketing operations, IT, and a business owner) would answer certain questions differently, that disagreement is itself useful information — consider having more than one stakeholder complete the assessment separately and comparing results, rather than assuming one person’s view represents the full picture.
- Data handling: You can complete this assessment anonymously. If you choose to save or receive your result, we’ll ask for an email address, separated from your answers unless linking them is necessary and disclosed to you first. We do not ask for a phone number, confidential company data, or any special-category personal data. Full detail on data handling is provided in the Privacy and Data Use section below and, once published, our Privacy Policy.

Your AI Marketing Maturity Result
How the Result Is Calculated
Each question maps to one of the seven maturity stages based on the observable condition you select. Your dimension score reflects the pattern of answers within that dimension, not a simple average alone — a dimension where your answers cluster consistently at one stage is treated differently from a dimension where your answers are scattered across several stages, since scattered answers usually indicate genuine unevenness within that dimension rather than a single clean maturity level. An overall maturity estimate is shown only once a minimum number of questions has been answered with a scored response; if too many questions are marked “Not sure,” the result will say so explicitly rather than presenting a number built on insufficient evidence.
This aggregation method is kōdōkalabs’ own scoring approach, developed for this assessment. It is not an externally validated psychometric instrument, and no percentile ranking, industry benchmark, or comparison to named companies is presented — there is no reliable, verified dataset of other organizations’ results to compare against, and this page will not claim one exists. The version number of the question set and scoring method in use is displayed alongside every result, so a result can always be traced back to the exact instrument that produced it.

Recommended Next Steps
Recommendations are based on your actual answer pattern, not a single generic suggestion applied to every result.
Result Pattern
Recommended Resources
Low or uncertain maturity overall
Diagnose phase resources: consider an Executive AI Marketing Assessment
Strategy or workflow gap relative to other dimensions
Workflow or knowledge readiness gap
Build phase resources
People, capability, or ownership gap
Measurement gap relative to other dimensions
Measure phase resources; explore the Fractional AI Growth Director
High, evenly distributed maturity with validated workflows
Limitations of the Self-Assessment
This assessment is based entirely on your own responses; it isn’t independently verified against your organization’s actual systems, documentation, or practice the way an Executive AI Marketing Assessment is. Your result reflects the perspective and knowledge of whoever completes it — a single respondent may not have full visibility into every dimension, particularly in larger organizations where different functions manage different parts of AI-assisted marketing work. The instrument covers 28 observable-behavior questions across seven dimensions; it is deliberately broad rather than exhaustive, and it cannot capture every nuance of your specific situation. Where your confidence in an answer is low, marking “Not sure” produces a more honest and useful result than guessing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
01 Is this a verified organizational diagnosis?
No. It's a self-reported estimate based on your own answers, not an independently verified assessment of your organization's actual systems and practices.
02 Who should complete the assessment?
03 Should several leaders complete it?
04 Is a higher technology score always better?
05 How is "Not sure" handled?
06 Is the result stored?
07 Can I retake it?
Yes. Maturity changes over time, and retaking the assessment periodically can help track how your organization's profile is shifting.
